The Vemp Open Tennis Championship is a National Tournament available to only Nigerian Players which was played in Abuja for the first time in September 2018.
The Tournament started in the year 2018 and the current defending champions are Sylvester Emmanuel for the Men’s Singles, while Blessing Samuel hold the Women’s Singles title. The tournament is being presently bankrolled by the President of the Nigerian Tennis Federation, Engr. Ifedayo Akindoju.
It is a week long tournament with competition available in different categories such as the Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles and the Women’s Doubles.
The Tournament is played on Hard Court and The Prize Money for the Men’s Singles Champion is N324,000 while the Women’s Singles Champion goes home with N252,000.
