The 2-day training camp organized by the Confederation of African Tennis for teams participating in the Under-12 African Junior Finals qualifiers in Cotonou ended on Tuesday.

Having had two sessions on Monday, the Nigerian team, led by coach, Abdulmumin Babalola, rounded up a single training session today, which was dominated by flexibility tests.

The participating teams fine-tuned their preparations early on Tuesday under keen observation and guidance from their coaches, before retiring by noon to rest ahead of the start of the tournament on Wednesday.

The draws will be done on Wednesday morning after which matches will begin immediately.

Alongside Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Mali, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Togo, Gabon, as well as host nation, Benin Republic make up the teams present. The Cameroonian team is still being expected to join in.

Similar to the Davis Cup format, ties will consist of two singles rubbers and one doubles rubber. Essi Djeha Akuete from Togo will be the Chief Referee for the event.

The tournament will hold from 6-10 March at the Tennis Club de l’Amitié in Cotonou.
