Team Nigeria had a fine outing at the African Junior Championship Finals qualifiers for Under-12 in Cotonou, Benin Republic last week. The team, split into the boys and girls categories, registered impressive performances.
Despite coming up short in their bid to seal qualification to the AJC Finals billed to hold in September, the boys finished in third place behind the Ghanaian boys’ team and the Beninese, while the girls, led by Salamatu Haruna, Niniola Ajulo, and Imole Afolabi, bowed out in 5th in their own category.
