17-year-old defending champion, Oyinlomo Quadre, has emerged winner of the 2020 CBN Senior Open Women’s singles. This is her second CBN Open title in two years, as she claimed her first in 2019 when she defeated Christy Agugbom.
She sealed her victory today with a flawless 6-0, 6-0 win against 2017 finalist, Marylove Edwards in Abuja. She (Quadre) had previously defeated two-time champion, Sarah Adegoke in the Semi-finals, while Marylove Edwards had a difficult face off with 38-year-old two-time champion, Christy Agugbom in the Quarter-finals.
Oyinlomo Quadre, who’s Nigeria’s current number one, and the highest ranked Nigerian in the WTA rankings, claimed all the national titles in 2019 and has continued the impressive streak this year.
