Sunday’s final at the Tombim Abuja Open will be an all-French affair, with Jaimee Floyd Angele taking on second seed, Sadio Doumbia, after both men powered past their respective opponents to reach the final in Abuja on Saturday.

Sadio Doumbia defeated third seed, Arjun Kadhe of India 7-6(6), 7-6(0) in just over 2 hours to advance to his first final this season.

Doumbia and Kadhe kept things with serve the entire match, with the tie-breaker in both sets proving to be difference.

The 389th-ranked Frenchman will now look to secure a 6th title on the ITF World Tour when he takes on his compatriot, Jaimee Angele Floyd in the final on Sunday.

Floyd, 19, defeated Dan Added 7-6(5), 6-7(3), 6-0 in their all-French semi-final clash to advance to the final, firing 14 aces in the process. Added, who turned 20 on Saturday, had rallied from a set down to take the second set and force a decider. But Floyd would prove too hot for the birthday-man, as he handed him a bagel to close out the contest in 2 hours and 12 minutes.

The loss, however, didn’t stop Added from celebrating his 20th birthday with players and organizers in the players lounge of the National Tennis Centre.
