The final rounds of the CBN Senior Open qualifiers took place on Sunday, in Abuja. The qualifiers which are to select 16 players out of 128 who set out to play, for the main draw of the national tournament started on Friday, November 6.

Joshua Daniel Aji, who has been delivering impressively since the start of the qualifiers, came through again, defeating Isaac Kwange 6-3, 6-1. Musa Sani also triumphed in an easy 6-2, 6-0 match over Danjuma Danjuma.

Meanwhile, Suleiman Ibrahim had to put up a fight for his chance in the main draw. After he took the first set 6-4 against his opponent, Ridwan Morakinyo, he dropped the 2nd set 2-6 but would later recover to win the Match Tie-Break 10-2 and secure his main draw spot.

Elsewhere, Wilson Igbinovia also booked his spot in the main draw with a comfortable 6-0, 6-1 victory against Lumas Raymond.
