Nigeria’s top player, Blessing Samuel, teen star, Oyinlomo Quadre and Emmanuel Idoko are among eight players who have been given wildcards for the second leg of the Lagos Open, which begins on Monday, 14 October.
Blessing Samuel, Oyinlomo Quadre, Jumai Mohammed and Nigerian-Dane, Divine Nweke have all been given a place in the women’s singles main draw.
Emmanu Idoko, Abayomi Philips, Michael Osewa and British-Nigerian, Mukhtar Andu are the players who got wildcards into the men’s singles draw.
Samuel and Quadre reached the second round in last week’s event and will be looking to better their previous performances. In the men’s field, Idoko also made it to the second round and certainly has hopes of going steps better this week.
The second leg is live from the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, Onikan from 14 October – 20 October.
