The pre-tournament press conference of the 2019 Lagos Open holds on Thursday, 3rd October from 11:00am at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, Onikan, Lagos.

Members of the media are invited to the press briefing, during which the tournament organisers will give an overview of the ITF tourney, and reveal plans and innovations that have been put in place to make the 2019 edition the best in the 19-year history of the prestigious event.

Speaking ahead of the Lagos Open, tournament director, Prince Wale Oladunjoye says a major objective of the two-week meet is to open up the state to more tourism and investment potentials.

“We are hosting for the world to come to Lagos, partake in our tourism, partake in our investment outlay, and partake in the culture we have”, Oladunjoye said.

“Anywhere you are, be it Nigeria, Australia, Japan, we want to have a worthwhile event so that you can plan to come on vacation and come into Lagos to watch the Lagos Open”.

The Lagos Open holds from 7-20 October, with some of the best players in the world set to compete for vital ranking points and a share of the $100,000 prize money.
