The 20-year-old clinched the CBN Senior Open in June and sensationally defeated Joseph Imeh in the final of the Vemp Open in Abuja on Saturday. His performances last week has seen him move up from fourth on the log to within 5 points of Joseph Imeh.
33-year-old Abdulmumin Babalola, who got knocked out in the semifinals of the Vemp Open dropped one place to third on the table, while Thomas Otu drops a place to fourth after failing to move past the second round of the Vemp Open.
In the women’s bracket, Sarah Adegoke sits firm atop the table, while Blessing Samuel, who won the Vemp Open women’s singles, remained second.
Vemp Open finalist, Loveth Donatus moved up to two places to fifth after her remarkable outing in Abuja, where she notably sacked the country’s number one, Sarah Adegoke.
