Musa Mohammed and Gabriel Friday were among those who easily booked main draw spots for the second leg of the NTF International Junior Championships in Abuja today.
Mohammed, fresh off a run to the final in the first leg, powered past Azeez Similoluwa 6-0, 6-0 to secure his place in this week’s main draw event.
Gabriel Friday, who made the semifinals last week, outclassed Friday Ismaila 6-0, 6-1. David Dawariye, too, outclassed Gadaffi Yakubu by the same scoreline, while David John edged David Ekpenyong 6-3, 6-4.
In other matches, Musa Sani eased past Rubi Toba 6-4, 6-0, Kumabo Kundams defeated Naboth Landu 6-4, 6-3, while Bulus Bulus dropped just a game in a 6-1, 6-0 in a drubbing of Mustapha Kabir.
Main draw action begins on Tuesday from 10:00am at the National Tennis Centre, Abuja.
