Sylvester Emmanuel produced a powerful performance to beat Joseph Imeh in straight sets and claim the Rainoil Open men’s singles title on Sunday.
The 21-year-old top seed powered to a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Imeh for the title – his second of the year so far after his CBN Open triumph in June.
Two breaks in the opening set put Emmanuel in control of the match and another in the second set was enough to hand him the title.
Imeh was looking to defend his title, but just couldn’t match the level of Emmanuel, who claimed the title without losing a set the entire week.
It’s sweet revenge for Emmanuel, who lost to Imeh in the final of the Dala Championship two weeks ago.
