Nigeria’s Emmanuel Jebutu, who’s in Norway for the Paradis Open – an ITF Grade 5 tournament in Bergen – came up short in his first round match at the event on Wednesday.
The 15-year-old was beaten 6-0, 6-3 by local favourite, Jonathan Berling.
Jebutu who came into this event fresh off back-to-back semifinal showings at the NTF International Junior Championships in Abuja, will now turn his attention to the doubles event.
The youngster has teamed up with Tamas Foldi of Hungary, with the duo set to take on the French pair of Igor Mandou and Tiago Pires in the boys doubles first round on Thursday.
