There have been 19 different champions in the men’s and 20 in the women’s singles in the CBN Senior Open since its inaugural edition in 1979.
CBN Senior Open is one of the most prestigious National Tournaments which has been in existence for 41 years.
David Imonitie holds the record for the most titles won in the men’s singles with seven titles, while Veronica Oyobokia is also the most successful player in the women’s singles category with seven titles.
The 42nd edition of the CBN Senior Open serves off in Abuja this week and here is a look at the previous champions in the men’s and women’s singles – the dominance of Sylvester Emmanuel and Sarah Adegoke in recent years.
