On Friday, the Semifinals of the women’s singles at the 2020 CBN Senior Open was played at the National Tennis Centre, Abuja.

Defending champion, Oyinlomo Quadre dismissed two-time champion Sarah Adegoke 7-5, 6-2 to advance into the women’s final, opening up a chance for her to win back-to-back titles. Adegoke recently just came back from a hiatus after last playing at the CBN Senior Open in 2018.

Marylove Edwards also made it to the CBN Senior Open finals after Osariemen Airhunwunde retired due to injury while losing 3-0 in the first set. She will now face Oyinlomo Quadre in the finals on Saturday.

This is not her(Marylove Edwards) first time in the finals; as she was in the finals in 2017 when she became the youngest finalist ever at the age of 12.

The finals of the women’s doubles went underway too, on Friday and the winners of the 2020 CBN Senior Open Women’s doubles are Oyinlomo Quadre and Serena Teluwo who had no trouble defeating Omolayo Bamidele and Jesutoyosi Adeusi 6-2, 6-4.
