Wheelchair Tennis actions continued in Abuja on Thursday, at the National Tennis Centre.

Alex Adewale who got off to a good start in the first round on Wednesday, continued his impeccable campaign with a clean 4-0, 4-0 win over Lucky Ajidua. The 7-time champion is on course to grab his 8th title at the CBN Senior Open.

Meanwhile, Wasiu Yusuf who’s aiming to get his first ever title at the CBN Open, defeated Seun Abel 4-1, 4-2, advancing into the semis.

Elsewhere, Kazeem Akanbi emerged victorious after a one-sided 4-0, 4-0 match with Idowu Ajani. While Williams Ukari beat Rasaq Bankole 4-0, 4-1.

In the women’s singles, Kafayat Omisore continues to dominate as she thrashed Immaculate Achinuhu 4-0 in the first set before the match ended due to a retirement. Chituru Nwaozuzu eased past Atinuke Shoremekun 4-1, 4-0 while Foluke Shodeinde had a hard time but still defeated Tosin Dawodu 4-1, 5-4(2).
