Nigeria’s Oyinlomo Quadre and Anna Lorie Lemongo of Cameroon capped off an excellent week of partnership at the African Closed Junior Under-18 Championships with victory in the girls doubles final today.

Quadre and Lemongo produced impressive displays to power past the top-seeded duo of Sara Akid and Yasmine Kabbaj 6-3, 6-1 and emerge victorious in Pretoria.

Akid and Kabbaj had entered this week’s doubles event on the back of a title-run at the J3 Pretoria last week. The Moroccan girls kept up their fine form to reach the doubles final here, but just couldn’t match the intensity of Quadre and her Cameroonian partner.

It’s the third ITF doubles title Quadre and Lemongo have won as a pair. The youngsters claimed doubles titles at Grade 5 and Grade 4 tournaments in Togo and Benin Republic, respectively, in 2018.
