Oyinlomo Quadre came up short in her quarter-final encounter at the African Games in Rabat today, falling in straight sets to 27-year-old Chanel Simmonds of South Africa, who’s ranked 376 in the world.

Quadre, 16, had moved into the quarter-finals following sensational performances in the second and third rounds of the women’s singles, but just wasn’t able to contain her South African opponent, as she was beaten 6-2, 6-2.
