The 42nd edition of the CBN Senior Open Tennis Championship takes centre stage in Abuja on Friday as, wildcards have been announced in both of the men’s and women’s singles categories.

Four slots were given to both the men’s and women’s singles categories each.

Canice Abua, 2019 NTF International Junior Championship boys’ singles winner, Abayomi Philips and Emmanuel Jebutu, who both participated in the ITF Grade 4 hard-court tournament in Copenhagen, Denmark earlier this year and Mukthar Andu, were handed the wildcard slots in the men’s singles category.

In the women’s singles category, Sarah Adegoke, Two-time CBN Senior Open Champion, Marylove Edwards, 2017 CBN Senior Open Runner-up and the 2019 NTF International Junior Championships girls singles title winner, Serena Teluwo, who participated in the CBN Junior Tennis Championship in October and Toyin Asogba were given the wildcard slots.

Action at the 2020 CBN Senior Open Tennis Championship served off on Friday, 6 November and will run through to 14 November at the National Tennis Centre in Abuja.
