The 33rd edition of the Dala Hard Court Tennis Championship will get underway from Thursday, 14 – Saturday, 23 November in Kano.

The tournament, which will be played on the hard courts of the Kano Club, will feature the men’s and women’s singles, and the men’s doubles categories.

Registration for the event will be on the 14th, while qualifiers will hold from Friday, 15th – Sunday, 17th. Main draw action will kick off on Monday, 18 through to the 23rd.

The event, which has First Bank, Dangote Group, Fidelity Bank, and the Kano State Government as notable sponsors, will see players from all over Nigeria converge in the ancient city to battle it out for glory, with N1,000,000 in prize money for the men’s singles winner, and N600,000 for the women’s singles winner.

Joseph Imeh, who defeated Sylvester Emmanuel in last year’s final, will be looking to defend his men’s singles crown, while Blessing Samuel, who claimed her 5th Dala title with victory over Sarah Adegoke last year, will be aiming to secure a 6th title and tie Fatima Abinu’s record of most titles won.
